Also your kata is under-specified, especially with your third test case. You're implying this is RLE but actually it's different.

Yes and I tried other people's code who passed and their's seem to fail too. However, I decided to just skip this kata and move on. It is a great kata still but I do think there could be a bug.
The fact that 305 people passed made me think that it must be me but after investigating I started having some suspicions.

I think there's a bug in the ruby testing suite.
I ran my PHP solution with the same inputs and tests passed.
