That looks reasonable. I would have used random lengths as well, but that's not that important.
Added random tests for both JS and Python version.

JS is no worse than Python functionally. The tests are not written very maintainably, but you can always ask for a translation fork.
Removing it would be a little on the heavy handed side I think.
Note that the translation author has not reacted yet. He might just be asleep, away or busy. It's only been half a day.
I think I will be removing this translation.
I am not very familiar with js, so I guess it's better to wait for a better one.
