Collections are a way for you to organize kata so that you can create your own training routines. Every collection you create is public and automatically sharable with other warriors. After you have added a few kata to a collection you and others can train on the kata contained within the collection.

I brought the issue of a ranking below 8 kyu up a few weeks ago and @jhoffner seemed opposed to it. http://www.codewars.com/topics/523e0dcfa7b8a6d6c1000168#55aed87225b126961600008a
The purpose of this particular kata is a really soft intro to variables for middle schoolers. I do think a 9 kyu difficulty would be more appropriate for something like this.
The prefix name approach should work for us. We'll see how that goes.
Thanks for all the help.
Thanks for the responses guys. Ya it turned out it isn't actually a problem. We originally helped a couple of our students identify easy ones and now the whole class is just looking at their friends profiles to see which ones are doable.
They class is going to get through all the doable 8 kyu kata shortly, so we'll probably propose some new 8 kyu kata in the next few weeks.
Also, is there a way for me as a teacher to create a kata chain or progression that I can assign to my students?
It would be cool if there was a ranking below beginner. I'd love to use codewars to teach middle schoolers how to code, but even the easist kata are too difficult at the moment. Maybe something like:
