There is no implication that each side should be equal. The exact statement is index N where the sum of the integers to the left of N is equal to the sum of the integers to the right of N. There is even an example of a "Lopsided" solution in the description. Your suggestion would only add more confusion to a problem that is simple at its core. Thanks for the suggestion though.
