Katas have been getting way harder with time; a 6kyu nowadays is often equivallent to a few of the first 5kyu, even some 4kyu if you look hard enough. 

But the kata is really simple once you understand it, not that that's super easy, but the final solution is simple, thus, most rating it 6kyu.
